Auditions

Arizona Broadway Theatre (ABT) is a professional dinner theatre that hires talent nationwide for its fully-staged musicals. ABT is not a participating EMC theatre. 

Our professional company is comprised of seasoned industry pros from all around the nation, as well as local professionals from Arizona. Please see below for the various opportunities available and information on how to audition or apply.

 

General Guidelines

To apply for an audition, please submit your headshot and résumé to auditions@azbroadway.org. Include the role(s) in which you are interested in the subject line of your email. Thanks!

Qualified actors/singers/dancers may submit their materials (headshot, résumé, vocal, and dance reels) for general consideration to auditions@azbroadway.org.

Adult Audtions

Dates will be published closer to audition dates. Please check back and follow us on social. 

Arizona Broadway Theatre holds local and national auditions for current season productions. Headshot and resume will need to be submitted for consideration.  Auditions include vocal and/or dance.  Other requirements will be posted when audition dates are announced.

 

Child & Youth Auditions

Arizona Broadway Theatre will be holding auditions for YOUNG PERFORMERS (Ages 8 – 12) on Thursday, May 4, 2023, from 4:30pm to 6:30pm, for the following roles in its upcoming production of The Wizard of Oz. Rehearsals begin around May 27, 2023, and the production runs from June 16 through July 23

MUNCHKINS – mysterious inhabitants of Oz, who help Dorothy find her way toward the Emerald City. Must be shorter than 60”.

Young Performers should bring with them a headshot (or recent photo) and a resume (if available) but will not need to prepare anything else in advance. They will be taught a selection of music and movement at the audition.

HYRev Youth Performance Troupe Auditions

HyRev Troupe Team placement is by audition in the fall and spring. Dates will be published closer to audition date. 

Experience in performing arts including the following is needed to be considered for a HyRev Troupe.

  • Dancing
  • Ability to read music
  • Acting experience 

Please prepare (2) 16-18 bar cuts of a pop, rock, or R&B song (no musical theatre). Please bring either sheet music or a karaoke track you can play from a device. You may be asked to stay and learn a short dance combination on the spot.

Guest Services Associate | Administrative 
Arizona Broadway Theatre, an award-winning theatre in Greater Phoenix, has immediate openings for part-time Guest Service Associates to staff our Box Office.

Qualified candidates should have experience working in customer service and sales. This position requires selfstarters who are highly organized, personable, and interested in advancing as part of an energetic and fast paced theatrical company.

Education requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent Required Skills: • Excellent customer service background • General computer skills (Microsoft Office/Outlook) • Ability to up-sell • Problem solving. Must have a friendly approach and work well with other Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Processing ticket sales for all theatre events via walk-ups, phone sales, mail orders as well as outside sales opportunities • A working knowledge of the ticketing systems, including account maintenance, seating and ticketing, and the creation of reports • Stepping in as night supervisor during theatre events where duties may include preparing the lobby and restrooms, managing volunteers and greeting & seating patrons • Managing patron comments in a manner consistent with ABT’s Standards of Service • Attending outside sales opportunities where ABT information is presented and marketed to specific groups (Trade Shows/Art Fairs/Luncheons and Vendor Events) Hours include weekday, evening, and weekend shifts.
